The following modes of exercise are possible with THERA-vital:

  • Active exerciser
    = Exercising with your own muscle power (as with an ergometer cycle)
  • Assistive exerciser
    = Exercising with remaining muscle power (missing activity is compensated by motor support)
  • Passive exerciser
    = Exercising without remaining muscle power (a motor moves legs or arms)
  • Symmetry exerciser
    = Exercising with right-left-differences in legs (e.g. for stroke patients)
  • Isokinetic exerciser
    = Exercising at constant speed and automatic adaptation of resistance (variable strength input)
  • Power exerciser
    = Exercising at a constant power level (parameter in watt) and automatic adaptation of resistance
  • Cardio exerciser
    = Exercising where resistance is reduced as soon as the preset maximum pulse level is exceeded
